My Bantay Venture!

Bantay, Ilocos Sur, is a peaceful yet captivating town just a few minutes away from the famous city of Vigan. Though small, Bantay has plenty of breathtaking tourist spots that showcase the beauty of nature, history, and culture. From ancient structures to scenic natural wonders, Bantay offers visitors a refreshing escape from busy city life. Join me as I explore some of its must-visit destinations: the Bantay Bell Tower, Terraza de Niño Resort, Royal Sisters, Caniaw Heritage and Forest Park, Banaoang Bridge, and San Mariano Falls.

My journey began at the Bantay Bell Tower, one of the most iconic landmarks in Ilocos Sur. Built in the 1590s, this historic tower stands proudly on a hill overlooking Vigan and Bantay. Climbing to the top gives a breathtaking view of the surrounding towns and the nearby mountains. It’s a perfect spot for photos and for admiring the rich history that connects the past and present.

Next, I visited the Terraza de Niño Resort, a relaxing place where visitors can unwind and enjoy nature. The resort’s peaceful ambiance and beautiful scenery make it an ideal getaway for families and friends. After that, I stopped by Royal Sisters, a popular café and rest spot known for its unique local food and cozy atmosphere. It’s a great place to chill after exploring the nearby attractions.

One of my favorite destinations was the Caniaw Heritage and Forest Park. This park combines natural beauty with cultural heritage, offering picnic spots, hiking trails, and a chance to enjoy the fresh air surrounded by lush trees. Not far from there is the Banaoang Bridge, also known as the Quirino Bridge. This majestic structure stretches over the Abra River, connecting Vigan and Bantay. The bridge provides an amazing view of the river and nearby hills, making it a perfect photo stop for travelers.

Lastly, I discovered San Mariano Falls, a hidden paradise tucked away in nature. The sound of rushing water, the cool breeze, and the clear pool below create a peaceful environment that’s perfect for relaxation and reflection. It was the best way to end my Bantay adventure.

Visiting Bantay, Ilocos Sur, was an unforgettable experience filled with history, culture, and natural beauty. Each destination offered something special—from the ancient charm of the Bell Tower to the refreshing calm of San Mariano Falls. Bantay may be a small town, but it has a big heart that welcomes every traveler with warmth and wonder. If you’re looking for a mix of adventure, relaxation, and heritage, Bantay should definitely be on your travel list.
